Tubby Meets A New Friend. By: Malone Powell One day a little boy named Timmy was playing in his yard when he came across a little round thing that looked like a ball. He drew his foot back and kicked that little ball as hard as he could with a THUNK! As the ball was soaring through the air it looked as though it was coming apart. When the ball hit the ground with a THUD, the little thing rose up and said “HEY what did you do that for.” Little Timmy looked in amazement. “I’m sorry I thought you were a ball.” “It’s ok, sorry to be mean and snap at you like that, but I was asleep and you scared me!” Said the little monster. “Well if anyone is scared it should be me.” said Timmy. “Why I’m not going to hurt you, I want to get to know you, matter of fact what is your name. I’m here to watch you, and make sure your safe. By the way my name is Tubby.” So all day that day they played together. They played tag, hide-and-go-seek, charades, and sticks. At the end of the day, Timmy’s mom called him to get a bath so the two friends said their goodbyes and parted. After Timmy had gotten a bath and got in the bed his mom came to tuck him in at night and asked what he did that day he simply said played out side. He told him good night and he went to bed thinking of all the fun things he did that day.
